Enclomiphene acts on the hormone-feedback system that helps the body produce testosterone. It is an oral approach studied in selected men with secondary hypogonadism, where the signals to the testes are low or inappropriately normal.
Work through the body's hormone feedback
By changing estrogen feedback at the hypothalamus and pituitary, enclomiphene can increase LH and FSH signaling. In the studied men, that helped raise testosterone produced by the testes rather than adding testosterone directly.
