Bring the full medication list
Nitrates, recreational nitrites such as poppers, and riociguat must not be combined with sildenafil. Some blood-pressure drugs and strong drug-metabolism inhibitors can also change its safety. Do not add another erection medicine without a specific prescriber review.
Recognize urgent side effects
Headache, flushing, indigestion and nasal congestion are common. Seek emergency treatment for an erection lasting more than four hours. Stop the medicine and seek prompt care for sudden vision or hearing changes; with chest pain, tell emergency clinicians about sildenafil use before receiving nitrates.
