
Testosterone Trio: Beyond “Free” for Optimal Health
Forget the outdated “free” testosterone focus! It’s only a small part of the total testosterone in our blood. Most of it is attached to two proteins: sex hormone-binding globulin (SHBG) and albumin. SHBG-bound testosterone is considered inactive, but albumin-bound testosterone can easily separate and become available to our tissues. That’s why it’s also called bioavailable, along with free testosterone.
